Our e-course teaches you The 8 Steps To Clear Skin that are the foundation of the AES method. You’ll learn everything you need to know about how to get clear without having to use any prescriptions or risk any scary side effects including the diet, lifestyle, hormonal, and product guidelines that we use to clear clients in our clinic everyday.

start a product plan

You will need to purchase a product kit that will be your “toolkit” for the program. Our products have been formulated and perfected to support the clearing process while restoring and nourishing skin. A full kit should last around 2-3 months and your coach will design customized product plans using your products at various points during the program. Our active product kits are only available to those who have completed the e-course.

schedule a virtual coaching session

Once you have completed the e-course and purchased the product kit, you can schedule an appointment with one of our coaches. These sessions will be scheduled approximately every two weeks. Everyone’s clearing process moves at a different rate but plan for at least 4 months of biweekly coaching sessions.

Frequently asked questions about our Virtual Acne Program

1. Who is this program for?

   Our Virtual Acne Program was designed for anyone struggling with acne who lives too far to come to our clinic.

2. Is there anyone who this program is not appropriate for?

   Our active products are not appropriate for anyone who has highly sensitive or compromised skin, eczema, psoriasis or who is allergic to any of the ingredients in our products including benzoyl peroxide (please take a look at the ingredient lists prior).

3. Can I do the Virtual Program if I live in another country?

   Of course! We may have to modify the program a bit and it might take longer to see results if you live outside of the United States because, unfortunately, we cannot ship our products outside of the United States for legal reasons and the product kit is an essential part of the program and the clearing process. If you have a friend or family member that lives in the US, you can have a product kit shipped to them so they can mail them to you. Otherwise, your coach can work with you to design a product kit using products that are available within your country but that will likely take additional time and it will be subject to which products are available to you.

4. How clear will my acne get on the Virtual Acne Program?

   It is impossible to determine how clear you will get if we are working together virtually because, as you will learn in the e-course, there are 8 different factors that determine how long the clearing process will take and these factors vary person to person. For example, the type of acne you have, how sensitive or dry your skin is, whether or not you have access to quality extractions, and how closely you follow the guidelines of the program are just some of the factors that determine how clear you will get and long it will take. At our clinic, we are usually able to get people 95% clear in 3-4 months but it’s not realistic to expect the same results if we are not able to perform treatments on your face so you should expect about 40-80% improvements if you are unable to find a local provider that can offer high quality extractions and peels like we do at our clinic.

5. how long will the clearing process take?

   Unfortunately, it’s also impossible to determine how long it will take if we are working together virtually based on the 8 factors I mentioned above. Just think about how long it would take to get in shape if you were doing a fitness program: it is nearly impossible to predict because everyone’s body is different but it usually takes at least 8 months to start seeing improvements if all goes according to plan. So I tell clients to expect at least that long and remind them that most of the results depend on how diligent you are in sticking to the program. I promise you that if anyone tells you that it’s possible to get clearer faster (not just on the surface but deep down inside of the skin) without the benefit of peels and extractions, they are lying to you. If you are able to find a local provider who can offer high quality extractions and peels, the process can go a lot faster. But you will have to discuss whether or not you want to take the risk of finding a local provider with your coach since receiving poor treatments can delay the clearing process and even cause permanent damage to your skin.

6. Do you accept insurance?

   Unfortunately, insurance companies do not cover services performed by a Licensed Esthetician and we cannot provide diagnosis codes or letters claiming clinical necessity since we are not Medical Doctors.

7. WILL MY ACNE GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER?

   Depends on what you consider “worse”. The quantity of acne usually increases for some time as acne underneath the surface of the skin urges up and out. But the quality of the acne should get better fairly quickly: the pimples you get will come up and go away quicker than you are used to and they should be less inflamed and much easier to manage. Also, an initial increase in acne is actually a good sign because clearing your skin from the inside out is basically the point of the whole process! It’s normal and understandable to be worried about the purging process but most people find that the short term increase in breakouts is preferable to dealing with mild or moderate acne forever.

8. can i take the e-course without doing the virtual program?

   Of course! Even if you don't participate in our virtual, this e-course will provide you with all of the information you need to understand your acne and the steps needed to actually get clear once and for all.

9. WHAT IF I AM CURRENTLY USING PRESCRIPTION ACNE MEDICATION?

   You can participate in the Virtual Acne Program while you are on medication as long as the topical medication does not contain any comedogenic ingredients.

10. DO I HAVE TO USE YOUR PRODUCTS TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUR PROGRAM?

    Yes.  We want to give you results so in order to participate in our program, you will have to simultaneously be using one of our product kits to insure that your condition is being treated in the most effective way possible.  

11. DO I GET A REFUND IF YOUR PRODUCTS DON'T WORK FOR ME?

    We only offer product refunds if there is a defect upon purchase.  Most people have sensitive, irritated skin when they start our programs because acne products and topical medications are often too strong or not part of a regimen that is sufficiently balanced with hydrating products. Our products typically help restore and nourish skin that is damaged from prescriptions and harsh products but, obviously, we cannot guarantee this for every person because there are so many variables that determine the condition of someone’s skin. So please check the ingredients on our products (or any products for that matter!) prior to purchase.

12. Can I participate in the program if I am pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning on becoming pregnant?

    Of course you can! Pregnancy can prolong the clearing process and inhibit how clear you get because hormones are a factor that we cannot control and there may also be some skincare ingredients your Physician wants you to avoid or lifestyle/dietary guidelines of the program that conflict with their recommendations but there is a lot we can do to at least improve your condition. If you are pregnant, please contact your Physician to ask what topical ingredients you need to avoid prior to purchasing a product kit and your Acne Coach can customize a product kit based on their recommendations.
